O projecto consistiu em projectar um hotel na zona oriental de Lisboa. Esta parte da cidade está pouco consolidada e precisa de intervenções que possam revitalizar o tecido urbano e a sua relação com o rio Tejo. Projectar um hotel significa entender o conceito de permanência temporária. O projecto coloca questões sobre reabilitação urbana, sobre como intervir em edifícios históricos, sobre compreender a sua complexidade e potencial.

The theme was to design a luxury hotel in the eastern part of Lisbon. This part of the city is still a poorly consolidated area, which needs careful interventions that could revitalize the urban fabric and its relationship with the Tagus River. Designing a hotel means to understand the concept of sojourn. During this particular project, questions about urban rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, about how to intervene on historic buildings, to understand their complexity and capability have led to research the theoretical principles of this practice developed by architects throughout the history of architecture.
