Ópera do Tejo, Lisboa. Dissertação de Mestrado. Orientadores: Francisco Aires Mateus e Manuel Aires Mateus. — The Everyday Opera proposes a reflection on the architectural space circumscribing the environment of the theatre, be it made by buildings that frame a square, or by a single building called theatre. This proposal of a new experimental space for theatre is informed by the critical analysis of grandiose theatres, of more modest Opera Houses, of squares that harbored theatrical. This new theater will open its doors to the street as well as to the Opera theatre, making these two worlds communicate and providing each one with the necessary autonomy to fulfill the different theatrical requirements. The Opera is the place were the square and the theater interact to give life to a new urban space. |
